Maternity Cover Vacancy at St Nicholas Pre-school and Nursery

St Nicholas Pre - School and Nursery – Job Vacancy – Maternity Cover
Early Years Practitioner – Maternity Cover to start in September 2017 date to be confirmed.
Qualification: Early Years Level 3 or above required
Pay - £7.75 per hour
Hours – Monday to Friday, term time only –  08.45am to 3.45pm would consider 2 practitioners with one working 08.45am to 12.10pm and one working 12.15pm to 3.45pm. The opportunity to do administrative work such as planning is on a Monday and Wednesday evening – 3.45pm – 5.30pm.

Experience Required
·        Have experience of working with parents
·        Have experience of working as a team
·        Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (April, 2017)
·        Knowledge of writing reports
·        Knowledge of completing observations and assessments
·        Working with other early years professionals
·        Setting up activities that link to children’s stage of development and interests
·        Be aware of health and safety
·        Be first aid trained or be willing to attend training
·        Be fully aware of safeguarding children as this is at the very core of our duties and responsibilities and The Prevent Duty.
·        Be able to attend in house training and team meetings after normal working hours usually once a term on either a Monday or a Wednesday evening.

Activities at Abberton Reservoir Visitor Centre

Abberton Reservoir Visitor Centre - Essex Wildlife Trust - Essex Wildlife Trust
A wetland site of international importance for wildfowl. Up to 40,000 ducks, swans and geese visit each year. Excellent bird watching opportunities and fabulous views over the reservoir.

There are always great family events/activities going on at the visitor centre.

Information On The New 30 Hours Free Childcare Offer.


This new offer enables some working parents of 3 and 4 year olds to now get up to 30 hours of free childcare. Find out if you are eligible and apply.

All 3 and 4 year olds get up to 15 hours of free childcare per week, and some2 year olds are also eligible. Working parents of 3 and 4 year olds may also be able to get up to 30 hours of free childcare.

Who can get 30 hours free childcare?

It is for working families in England with 3 and 4 year old children. Parents must be working and each earning at least £120 a week, but no more than £100,000 a year.


You might also be able to get Tax-Free Childcare. If so you can apply for both at the same time.
